About Masha.
Masha Prusso is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur, and blockchain pioneer with a career spanning law, finance, and technology. Since 2017, she has invested in over 90 startups through Story VC and as a limited partner in Coinfund and Perceptive Capital, with standout wins including Splyt-ShopX (350x) and Ether.Fi (20x).
Masha’s journey into crypto began in 2014 when she bought her first bitcoin, sparking a deep interest in blockchain technology that would shape her career. In 2018, she founded Crypto PR Lab, a consultancy that has supported over 90 startups with marketing, PR, and event strategy.

The firm quickly became a go-to partner for projects ranging from exchanges and blockchain protocols to decentralized marketplaces, working with names like ZkSync, CasperLabs, Ankr, Marlin Protocol, Heroes, Animal Concerts, Charged Particles, Metamall, RocketVault, Deeper Network, CoinSwap, Liti Capital, ShopX, Coinspaid, Blockcities, and Plasma.Finance.
Between 2018 and 2023, Masha organized more than 50 Web3 events at major conferences, attracting 50 to 1,500 attendees each and connecting her with some of the brightest minds in blockchain. While Crypto PR Lab received acqui-hire offers in 2018 and 2019, Masha chose to continue growing the business, building a lasting impact in the space.
As Partner at Story VC, she has invested in 40 blockchain and NFT startups, combining capital with strategic guidance in PR and marketing. Her most successful exits from 2020–2022 include:
Splyt-ShopX: 350x
Deeper Network: 40x
RocketVault: 80x
CasperLabs: 25x
PlasmaFinance: 35x
Based in Miami since 2021, Masha has held executive roles at leading blockchain protocols, including Polygon and Waves, helping shape the next generation of decentralized technology.
Before entering crypto, Masha built a strong foundation in law and finance, working for Clifford Chance LLP and Gowling WLG in France and Monaco, and managing ultra-high-net-worth clients at UBS and HSBC private banks in Switzerland. She holds three master’s degrees—from the Sorbonne, UC Berkeley, and the University of Nice—and speaks Russian, French, German, and English.
Outside of business, Masha’s drive and discipline were evident early on. She represented Russia in the 2006 Winter Olympics, becoming the youngest competitor in the halfpipe snowboarding event, and was Russian Champion in snowboarding for two consecutive years.
Masha’s journey is defined by curiosity, tenacity, and a passion for building—whether in snowboarding, law, finance, or the decentralized future of technology.
